Tonight, the Tower Hamlets Youth and Students group met at the Lightship Ten restaurant at St Katherine's Dock for political discussion, friendship and food.
The group comprises young people and students from across the Borough studying at university, or in the early stages of exciting and interesting careers (and one accountant!).
Over a relaxed and delicious meal, the group discussed topics ranging from (in no particular order) bendy buses, Crossrail, Polish Liberals, the problem of getting mice out of flats, and campaigning for by-elections. After pudding some of the group adjourned to the nearby Bang Bar for cocktails.
Meetings of the group are held monthly, with everyone contributing to the choice of venue. The next even is scheduled for early September.
The group welcomes new members and anyone under 30 who is interested in joining should contact the organiser, Stewart Morris, at: www.ldyslondon.org.uk/boroughs.htm
