Working for justice, equality and a sustainable environment

Tower of London

Thank you from the Lib Dems

10.18.08pm UTC (GMT +0000) Fri 19th May 2006

We would like to thank all those people who supported us in the recent elections.

We are of course disappointed that we did not do better but we shall not cease to fight for the people of Tower Hamlets. Supporting local people with local issues is what Liberal Democrats are all about when it comes to local government. We shall work hard to be worthy of the trust of those of you who voted for us and we will strive to gain the support of those of you who didn't.

We may appear to be down but we are definitely not out. Our campaigning for you will continue. Group Leader Councillor Stephanie Eaton said "we will be a critical and constructive opposition to the ruling Labour group on the council. We will continue to represent the interests of residents across the borough."
