Lib Dem activist nominated for national award.

Nigel Huxted

Nigel Huxted who was a Lib Dem councillor between 1990-and 1994 has been nominated in the Best neighbour category of the iNbiz awards to be presented in September. Nigel has spent the past 4 years working as a volunteer for the Lincoln area regeneration group charity.

In his role as a community development worker he has managed to fund raise £500,000. This has been spent on many community facilities including the award winning Chiltern Gardens, a Football pitch and a Community café. He is also Chair of Governors of 2 special needs schools and is involved in various youth groups. He says what drives him is that he "believes in the community he lives in"
