Tower Hamlets Liberal Democrats today offered their support to Councillor Oliur Rahman following the brutal attack on him last night. After speaking with Cllr Rahman the Leader of the Libdems Cllr Stephanie Eaton said "Cllr Oli Rahman has suffered a despicable act of unprovoked violence. If this attack is politically motivated then it is an attack on democracy and the people of Tower Hamlets. We Liberal Democrats are sickened by such brutality and offer our support to Cllr Rahman in the aftermath of this cowardly assault".
